Leeds Rhinos legend Jamie Jones-Buchanan and staff from Leeds Rhinos Foundation joined networking group The PA Hub at their 4th birthday event at Park Plaza in Leeds on 19th January including a charity auction and raffle that raised £1999.03 to help the Foundation to continue its work in changing lives through sport.
Jamie Jones-Buchanan provided the keynote speech to kick off the event, talking about his passion for Leeds Rhinos' official charity, his career, faith and the city of Leeds.
Through fantastic support on the night from the audience, the charity auction of signed Rugby League memorabilia and a host of other prizes raised a fantastic £1933.05 to support the Foundation to continue its work changing lives through sport, helping to fund the many community-based projects taking place in the city under the charity's banners of health, sport, heritage, Education and the Arts.
Partnership and Business Support Officer for the Leeds Rhinos Foundation Kate Lightfoot said:
"We are completely blown away by the amount raised by The PA Hub from the event, Jon and Marion put on a fantastic celebration which everybody in attendance really enjoyed and obviously dug deep to support the Foundation, so we'd like to thank everyone involved."
The PA Hub, who celebrated it's 4th birthday at the event, is the leading networking group for assistants in Yorkshire and Merseyside, working with EAs, PAs and VAs and hosting 10 events a year to provide a constructive environment for our members to network with their counterparts from across their region, gain access to top speakers and trainers from throughout the UK, and give the opportunity to socialise with like-minded individuals.
