Mini campers enjoy successful Rhinos dance camp

The dance camp was a big hit with the children who attended

Young dancers attended a successful Leeds Rhinos Foundation Dance Camp, in partnership with Jet2holidays, at Ralph Thorseby High School during their half-term holidays.

On Monday 16th and Tuesday 17th February, 30 participants aged between 5 and 11 attended the fun-packed mini-camp, which was run by the Leeds Rhinos Foundation’s   Dance Development Officer, Nicola Booth.
Nicola is also the dance captain of the Spencer Properties Dance team, who perform at every Leeds Rhinos home match, so she was able to teach the young dancers some of the routines that the team do on a match night.

“Each day was packed with dance and fun,” said Nicola. “All the kids got involved in different activities throughout, including street dance, cheer dance, gymnastics and games.”

The youngsters also had a visit form the one and only Ronnie Rhino and for the camp finale they performed for family and friends using the routine and moves they had learnt over the two days.
