LRF ‘Young Trustees’ work on their first project

'Young Trustees' at Tryzone yesterday

Last month the Leeds Rugby Foundation (LRF) announced the appointment of a group of ‘Young Trustees’ and they were at the Tryzone Centre at Headingley Carnegie Stadium yesterday working on their first project during their half term break.

The 'Young Trustees' began work on the first of many projects that they will be helping the LRF to complete throughout their time at the Leeds Rugby Foundation. The 'Young Trustees' will become an integral part of the foundation because they allow us to become more approachable and further represent the younger age groups that we work with on a regular basis. One of the LRF's main goals is to change lives through sport and we wouldn't be able to do so without the hard work of our volunteers and trustees.

Education Programme Manager, Nigel Wood was extremely happy with the 'Young Trustees' taking time out to go to Tryzone and start work on an exciting new project, he said: "To see so many of our 'Young Trustees' working with us at Tryzone during their half term break is a great testament to these kids and it is clear that everyone of them is focused on the same goal to help us at the LRF to change lives through sport and I am proud of each and every one of them for there maturity and commitment to our cause."

The project they were working on will be revealed in due course but for now, watch this space as the 'Young Trustees' begin to put their ideas into action alongside the LRF.
