Another week is here and the Leeds Rhinos Foundation are out in the community changing lives through sport. Here is a rundown of events on this week in Leeds
Leeds Rhinos Foundation as part of their Sky Try Rugby League delivery will be running a Sky Try Taster session at Horsforth based West Yorkshire Wolves JARLFC this Wednesday for pupils in year 1 and 2 to try a rugby league coaching session at Leeds-based community club West Yorkshire Wolves.
The free session will be lead by North Leeds Rugby League Development Officer Joe Sanderson, who has been coaching in local schools in the Horsforth area and new players will get to meet club mascot meet Ronnie the Rhino.
The session is to help the Wolves, who are part of the Club Ambassador Scheme, to set up a new under 7s team and will involve some fun games and drills designed to help new players learn the game.
The session will be taking place from 5-6pm at Trinity Fitness in Horsforth, please bring trainers suitable for an indoor sports hall.

Rhinos Active Social Group (Every Tuesday 10:30am-12:30pm)
Every week Leeds Foundation invites over 55s to partake in the Rhinos Active Social club. Built on the premise of a friendly, casual atmosphere group members enjoy socialising and the sessions put on by the friendly staff.
Over the two hours a wide variety of activities including beginner's yoga, tai chi and chair based exercise are offered to encourage physical activity for those wanting to keep fit. If that's not for you, not to worry as members are welcome to attend simply for the interaction and free refreshments.
The aim of the project is simple – to engage the older community in activities to improve their physical, mental and social well-being by taking part in regular activities.
Sessions run every Tuesday 10:30am-12:30pm and cost just £2 per week.

Leeds Rhinos Foundation in partnership with Try Tag Rugby are offering a new weekly Tag Rugby League competition at John Smeaton Academy continuing this Tuesday as part of the new 8 week Autumn league.
The league is a perfect chance for adult players (male & female aged 14+) to enjoy a sociable, fun and great-for- fitness weekly activity and you can sign up as an individual or with your pals as a 7 a 'side team incorporating 4 males and 3 females on the pitch at a time.
Each team will play one 40-minute game each week and this will be followed by a weekly after match social where players will get the chance to have a drink and a bite to eat with their team mates and opposition in a local pub.

Leeds Rhinos Foundation is encouraging the Leeds community to kick start their winter fitness goals by enjoying weekly social rugby with Leeds City Council's Indoor Touch Rugby programme managed by the Sport and Active Lifestyles Service.
The league, which is played to international touch rugby rules, is suitable for mixed genders and all abilities, with teams of players as well as individuals welcome to 'turn up and play.'
Teams consist of up to eight players incorporating three subs and five outfield players, playing two 20 minute halves spread over the evening with different kick off times varying each week from 6-9pm.
The indoor Winter league due to start soon, in the Bowls and Athletics arena costs £25 per team with 'turn up and play' players welcome to attend and pay an individual fee of £3 per person.
The programme is also looking for new referees to officiate the weekly fixtures with the Leeds Rhinos Foundation's 'Ref with the Rhinos' mentoring scheme available for people interested in working towards a referee qualification to and a chance to learn to referee a different rugby format where they can earn £10 per game refereeing this winter.

Come along to a Rhinestones Dance Academy class at a venue near you (Taking place Monday, Tuesday and Thursday every week)
Young dancers of all abilities can take part in the weekly sessions led by Dance Development Officers Nicola Booth and Alishia Schofield alongside their team of student teachers from the senior Rhinestones group.
Rhinestones classes focus on street dance and cheer dance technique and are a great way for young dancers to learn the coolest moves, meet new friends and get the opportunity to experience the thrill of performing in front of thousands of Rhinos fans at the Headingley Carnegie Stadium on match days as well as, starring in an annual Rhinestones dance show.
Dancers of all abilities are welcome with the first class FREE of charge and classes then priced at £3.50 per class or a block of six classes for £18. Suitable footwear and clothing for dancing is advised along with a water bottle.
