The Leeds Rhinos Foundation will be offering a project of a new kind to it’s ambassador schools this year with the Student Team project
The Leeds Rhinos School Ambassador Scheme is continuing to grow and now has 100 members since the revamp in September last year.
The aim of the scheme is to provide schools with different opportunities and the launch of the new High School Student Team has been designed to cater for the city’s secondary school students.
The idea of the program is to provide students in our Ambassador Schools with a chance to get involved with the business side of the sport by supporting the Staff Ambassador.
The work will not only contribute to the growth of the Leeds Rhinos Ambassador Scheme but the students will be gaining valuable experience which will help them in their applications for further education and employment in the future.
The scheme has been developed following discussions with a number of the Ambassador High Schools working with the Leeds Rhinos Foundation, who are looking to provide different opportunities for their students.
Students will be involved in organising group trips to the stadium, fundraising and liaising with staff from the Leeds Rhinos Foundation, as well as receiving the chance to be involved in marketing, promotion, assemblies and administration.
Lisa McCann who is co-ordinating the Education Ambassador Scheme said:
“We hope that this project will allow all students to get involved with the Leeds Rhinos and will grow in the same vein as a work placement experience.”
