Leeds Rhinos Foundation Women and Girls Development Officer Lois Forsell has been called into the England Women’s Rugby League team to face France on Wednesday 17th June and Saturday 20th June.
England Women’s coach Chris Chapman has named his 20-player squad for the forthcoming two-match Test series against France including Bradford Thunderbirds and Leeds Rhinos Foundation Development Officer Lois Forsell.
Lois, who represented England at the World Cup in 2013 and has experienced tours with the international side in New Zealand and France, is joined by three of her colleagues on the Bradford Thunderbirds side who play at the women's elite level of Rugby League.
Working with high schools and community clubs in the region, Lois' role sees her increase participation in the sport by providing the link for girls to get involved in Rugby League providing coaching in after school clubs, community club Taster Rugby sessions and rugby camps as well as, organising school tournaments in high schools and primary schools.
England will play their French counterparts on Wednesday June 17 (6.30pm) in Tonneins and then at Biganos on Saturday June 20 (6.30pm).
The England Women’s squad features 12 players in line to make their international debuts.
