Leeds City College Trial Game next Thursday

Ben Frankland is a player that developed through the pathway

Leeds City College Rugby Academy will be holding a trial game for the coming season on Thursday 17th July from 5.30pm until 7pm at Leeds Rhinos training ground, Leeds Rugby Academy, Bridge Road, Leeds, LS5 3BW.

Keith Senior, Leeds Rhinos' Community Development Officer, has recently been appointed the Head Coach of Leeds City College's rugby academy and will be present on the night.
 
The partnership with Leeds Rugby Foundation and Leeds Rhinos offers a clear rugby pathway that, with the unique use of the Leeds Rhinos' facilities, allows Leeds City College Academy players that chance to develop and progress to the next level. The Academy get to use the Rhinos' gym, 3G pitch and combat room which aids their development tenfold.
 
The success of the pathway created between Leeds City College and Leeds Rhinos is highlighted through Ben Frankland who progressed from the Leeds City College Academy to sign a professional contract with the Rhinos.
 
Leeds City College Head Coach and Leeds Rhinos legend Keith Senior commented: “This is a fantastic opportunity for young rugby players. We aim to provide the best player pathway for young players to progress to the next level, by developing their rugby talent combined with their academic studies at the Leeds Rhinos training facilities.”
 
The trial night is a chance for the next crop of youngsters to shine. On top of using the Leeds Rhinos training facilities, each attendee will receive a complimentary ticket for the Leeds Rhinos v Castleford Tigers match on the same evening, KO 8pm.
