Latest Coach Education workshop to focus on Nutrition for the Rugby League Player

The fifth coach education workshop will be delivered at the Kirstall Academy Training Ground on the 12th of April starting at 7.00pm till 8.30pm and will focus on Nutrition for the Rugby League Player

The sessions are part of Leeds Rhinos Foundation's Rugby League Development Plan, sponsored by Mears, and aim to help improve standards in the game through knowledge sharing and workshops led by Leeds Rhinos coaching staff.  The workshops are free and are open to coaches from Leeds Rhinos Foundation Ambassador clubs and schools.

Registration is from 6.30pm outside the entrance to the Kirkstall Academy bulidings. Community Clubs Development Officer, Sam Horner, will meet and greet you there. The workshop will be run in the Leeds Rhinos player  review room by Leeds Rhinos Nutritionists and Leeds Rhinos assistant coach Barry Eaton.

Speaking about the upcoming session Horner said: "The workshop will give lots of educational advice on nutrition for the Rugby League player. Eating times is always a big talking point along with amounts to eat and there will be an insight into sugar content in foods and alternative foods and drinks to buy.

"We will look at eating for energy and fitness and the food diaries for Leeds Rhinos players, which will be interesting too. This is a great opportunity to upskill yourselves and pass on this important information to parents and players at your clubs."
