Communications Executive – Leeds Rugby Foundation
Leeds Rugby Foundation is a local charity (charity number 1112580), delivering projects across Yorkshire to help make people’s lives better. We work with all sectors of the community, utilising the power of sport to deliver vital messages and inspire individuals to lead happier and healthier lives. As Leeds Rugby’s Charity we have an amazing opportunity to truly change lives through sport.
Reporting to the General Manager of the Leeds Rugby Foundation and the Head of PR and Media, working as a key member of the Foundation team, this role is pivotal in ensuring that the highest standards of communication between the Foundation team and external contacts.
Your responsibilities will include updating the Website, Facebook and Twitter content and supporting the Foundation team in the delivery of projects. You will be hands on and understand the importance of ensuring that all enquiries are handled in a prompt, efficient and helpful manner.
Other responsibilities include;
– Designing and delivering a marketing and communications strategy for the Foundation and projects that the charity delivers
– Managing relationships with external agencies and providing them with briefs for projects
– Supporting the Foundation team in planning of delivery of our projects
– Supporting the planning and delivery of Foundation events
– Produce news articles for website and match day programmes
– Increase commercial revenue through website advertising.
The successful applicant will have excellent IT skills including use of Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Databases and Outlook. You will have great attention to detail and the ability to work to work to tight deadlines. You must demonstrate good literacy and excellent organisational skills. You will have excellent time management skills including the ability to prioritise and multi task.
The role will be mainly based at our Rugby Offices at Headingley Carnegie Stadium, St Michael’s Lane, Headingley, Leeds LS6 3BR, along with working at the Leeds Rugby Foundation offices at Kirkstall Training Academy, Kirkstall.
This is a full time role of 40 hours per week; however you must be flexible in your commitment to this role as you may be required to work evenings and weekends.
