In order to be considered for selection, players must register and participate in the North V South series over the summer months. Player registration now open for North vs South Player Development Series 2025! – Leeds Rhinos Foundation
Speaking on confirmation of the programme, Leeds Rhinos Foundation Rugby League Development Officer Craig Shepherd added:
“It’s great to be able to offer these ongoing player development and representative opportunities to players in the city of Leeds.
“These opportunities are designed with a number of benefits in mind, including helping to retain players in the game and continuing to play for community clubs. Whilst at the same time, providing player development and pathway opportunities for players in what is a late specialisation sport.”
Open in the autumn, these will be an extension of the North v South programme and provide players with the opportunity to represent the city of Leeds helping to retain them in the sport.
Age groups in the 2025 North V South Player Development Series will be based on the current academic year. Age groups for the playing opportunities in the autumn will be based on the 2025 / 26 academic year. Players should register on the North V South series in their current year group.
