Leeds Rhinos Foundation is proudly supporting Mecca Bingo with their ‘Everyone Deserves A Christmas Campaign.’
All 76 Mecca Bingo halls across the UK will be connecting with local registered charities to help those who may be struggling this winter season have some festive cheer by providing with an essential food hamper. A target has been set for each club to provide at least 30 hampers valued at £50 each, which will then be distributed to local families in need.
In a bid to support the campaign, staff from Leeds Rhinos Foundation will be volunteering their time to help the three Mecca clubs in Leeds to make up their food hampers and deliver them to vulnerable families across the city in the days leading up to Christmas.
For many people, having basics like rice, pasta and tea from foodbanks allows them to survive. But when it is Christmas and everyone else is enjoying little luxuries, it is easy to feel excluded. This fantastic campaign is aiming to give everyone a bit more of a festive feeling and ensure we can all celebrate the delights of Christmas this year.
Carol Rhead, Head of Marketing Venues, Mecca Bingo, said of the Christmas appeal, “We’re delighted to be launching Mecca’s Everyone Deserves a Christmas campaign and to be bringing a little festive cheer to those most in need.
“It’s been a year unlike any other, so we’re thrilled to continue to give something back to our communities and will be incredibly grateful for any donations our loyal customers and supportive locals are able to make.”

Donations are being sought from individuals in the community and local businesses who can help contribute to this great cause by collecting and donating Christmas items to make up the hampers for vulnerable families in our community.
