The Leeds Rhinos Foundation are this year featuring a Community Club of the week following the weekend home fixtures and this week’s club in the spotlight is one of our community clubs Guiseley Rangers
Guiseley Rangers ARLFC formed in 1978 and ran from Shaw Lane Sports and Social Club in Yeadon. The name changed to Guiseley from Shaw Lane in the early 1980s.
Rangers have run Senior and Junior teams at all age groups ever since, getting to cup finals at different ages.
Player numbers have gradually increased over the years now that all ages are playing Summer rugby. Our Senior team are playing in the Yorkshire Mens League and the Juniors are in the Yorkshire Junior League.
Guiseley Rangers are heading to the Big Fellas Stadium on Saturday 27th June when our u12s team play Drighlington in the Continuation Cup Final. The Club supporters will be turning out in force to wish the team well in the final.
