The club has a strong junior programme and boosts teams from U6 through and including U16.The junior section all play in the Yorkshire Junior league. There are two open age teams one play in the Yorkshire Mens League and the first team play in the Kingstone Press National Conference League.
The current management team are Chairman Lee Trout, Secretary Sarah Trout & Junior Secretary Emma King. The club achieved the RFL Club Accreditation in December 2015, this shows that Stanley Rangers is a caring and safe environment, has high expectations and good management.
Originally the club started out in 1919 as Stanley Nibs and they played out of a local pub called The Wagon & Horses. In 1964 it move to the Miners Arms on Lee Moor road and stayed there until it closed down then moved across the road to play out of the Ship Inn.
It joined forces with Stanley Falcons cricket club and moved to its current premises in 1980 where it still is today.
The junior section was formed which provided the local and surrounding communities with the opportunity to play the great game of Rugby League. The junior programme has produced some great players through its history, some of whom have gone onto play professionally and some players have been selected for BARLA and played at County & National level.
