Community Club of the Week with MEARS: Guiseley Rangers

This week’s Community Club of the Week, which is supported by our key partners Mears, is Guiseley Rangers

Guiseley Rangers is a Community Club based in Nunroyd Park in North West Leeds.  The Club has been in existence for the past 38 years and have recently become a registered charity.

We are pleased to be part of the Leeds Rhinos Community Clubs Ambassadors Scheme.  This scheme helps Community Clubs in a wide variety of ways, for example this year Guiseley Rangers earned over £600 for Club funds by selling Leeds Rhinos Grand Prize Draw tickets.  Our junior teams also enjoy the experience of being a player escort or taking part in half time games.

In January 2016, in an effort to further develop the Club, Guiseley Rangers submitted a bid for £75,000 to Sport England Inspired Facilities to build new pitch side changing rooms.  Sport England were extremely pleased with our bid and paid for a pre-feasibility study.  We are hoping to hear the outcome of this process very soon.

We currently have the following teams: Under-8s, Under-10s, Under-14s and Under-15s.  We play and train at Nunroyd Park (opposite Mcdonalds) on the A65 at Guiseley.

Our Club would not function without our superb army of volunteers and players.  We welcome new coaches, volunteers and players of all abilities and ages to our friendly club.
