Coach Education Workshop goes out on the road

Coach Education on the road at St John Fisher High School

The Leeds Rhinos Foundation’s Coach Education programme went out on the road last week with Academy Head Coach Chris Plume and the Leeds Rhinos Academy players taking a workshop at St John Fisher School in Dewsbury.

The Leeds Rhinos Academy head coach Chris Plume took his team ‘on the road’ for a training session at the St John Fisher High School in Dewsbury in the latest instalment of the 2015 Coach Education programme.

Community clubs in the Dewsbury and Batley area are part of the Foundation’s ambassador scheme and the session enabled coaches from the clubs access to some coach development and have a chance to speak with Chris, his coaching team, alongside a guest appearance form our Head of Coach Education, Brian McDermott.

Coaches also had the chance to bring along their junior players to view the session to give them an insight in to how players who have progressed into the academy systems train and operate.

The night was a great success and concluded with a coaching carousel, delivered by the academy players to all the children who were in attendance.

Chris Plume will host another open session, at the Kirkstall training ground later this summer, for more details and to book a place, please contact LRCAbooking@leedsrugby.com
