Week four of the Leeds Champion Schools Tournament stages saw the first of the local finals take place at Boddington Hall, with the year 10 and 11 boys finals taking place, in the world’s biggest Rugby League knock-out competition for a chance to be crowned national champions in September 2016.
With many of the first round qualifiers now played out, week 4 of the Champion School tournament would sort out which teams from the year 10 and 11 age groups in Leeds would represent the city as the seeded teams for the Champion Schools Yorkshire Cup stage run by the RFL against school teams from across Yorkshire.
Unfortunately because of bad weather on Wednesday, the girls year 8 finals, due to be held at East Leeds ARLFC, was postponed and will now take place on Monday 19th October instead.

Y10 Champion Schools Leeds Finals Thursday 8th October @ Boddington Hall:
1st- Corpus Christi Catholic College
2nd- Bruntcliffe Academy
3rd- Brigshaw Academy
4th- South Leeds Academy
5th- Mount St Mary’s
The top five are the Leeds seeds for the Champion Schools Yorkshire Cup run by the RFL and have all progressed to next stage.
6th- Morley Academy
Morley have missed out but will be invited to the Leeds & Hunslet Schools Plate compettion.
Next weeks Champion Schools action will see the Year 7, 8 and 9 year group first round qualifiers play out their local finals at Boddington Hall for a chance to represent Leeds in the Yorkshire Cup stages.
