Bramley school seeing the full benefits of the School Ambassadors Scheme

Leeds Rhinos Foundation Ambassador School Bramley St Peters have been putting their relationship with the Leeds Rhinos Foundation to good use with some fundraising and rugby development, winning the year 3 and 4 West Leeds Tag Rugby Competition and raising money through the Leeds Grand Prize Draw Raffle.

The Bramley-based school have been raising money to build a new outdoor play area at the school with the year 3 and 4 rugby team flourishing on the pitch with a recent tag rugby festival success.

After drawing their first game, the school went on to win the next five games, finishing with a total of 18 points, 7 ahead of the team in second place in a great showing for the young team. 
 
Lesley Dixon-Dawson, who is the Ambassador for the school, said, “It is a fantastic achievement and we are very proud of their success."
 
The school are very active as an Ambassador School and were heavily involved in the Grand Raffle Prize Draw raising £60 for their school through the cashback scheme offered to schools taking part in the selling of raffle tickets, raising a total of £60 for their school funds from this years draw.

The School Council have also been organising events to raise money for their school through bun sales and Easter activities that have all contributed to the school funding for the proposed project.

“It is fantastic that our Grand Prize Draw Raffle was able to assist the school council with their fundraising. This is one of the aims of the Ambassador Scheme and as part of the continued association, we strive to help schools out as it is essential that these relationships are a two way partnership”.
