Leeds Rhinos Foundation is proud to announce it has received a grant from Asda Foundation that will fund a new three year personal development programme for young people who are unemployed or not in education or training.

The donation of £127,800 to the Rhinos Advance Project (R.A.P) will ensure young people are more equipped to make better life choices and improve their personal skills after undertaking a set programme of work with the Leeds Rhinos Foundation staff in their TryZone education centre.

The Asda Foundation is a charitable corporate Foundation making independent grants throughout the UK, with the aim of transforming communities and improving lives for people and communities in the UK both now and in the future. It funds charitable projects and activities that have the ideas and ability to achieve change for the better.

Speaking about the support from Asda Foundation, Leeds Rhinos Foundation’s partnership manager, Dan Busfield said:

“The Leeds Rhinos Foundation is delighted to be working in partnership with the Asda Foundation to enable young people across Leeds to access the Rhinos Advantage Programme. This will involve individuals who attend the sessions work on a personal development programme, looking at key life skills as well as practical employability sessions. We hope this will ensure young people have the information and guidance to enter employment, education or further training.”
