If your New Year’s resolution is to get fit in 2018 take a look at some of the great programmes our charity Leeds Rhinos Foundation are offering to help you keep your new health goals.
TRY CLUB
The charity’s men’s health programme ‘Try Club’ is a free 12 week programme for men looking to regain their fitness and combines classroom and physical activity. The course is available for men aged over 18 who have BMI of 25 or above.
The programme has been a huge success since it launched in 2016 and last helped 64 men lose a combined weight loss of 34 stone.
The venues for Try Club are:
– Oulton Raiders ARLFC (LS26 8EL), Mondays (from 15th Jan), 1 – 2.30pm
– John Smeaton Leisure centre (LS15 8TA), Tuesdays (from 16th Jan), 6 – 7.30pm
– Emerald Headingley Stadium (LS6 3BR), Wednesday (from 17th Jan), 6 – 7.30pm

RUN WITH THE RHINOS
On 8th July thousands of runners will take part in the annual Leeds 10k and Rhinos fans can join club legends as part of the Run with the Rhinos team.
Those who sign up will get a free t-shirt and will get training tips and advice during the build up to the race day. So if you’re looking for a challenge and something to motivate you CLICK HERE to sign up for the Run with the Rhinos team
RHINOS ACTIVE SOCIAL
Leeds Rhinos Foundation's Active Social programme run in partnership with Morrison's Foundation will be taking place at three locations in 2018 providing social physical activity sessions for more people in the city.
The free two-hour sessions provide a wide variety of activities including beginner's yoga, tai chi and chair-based exercise, dance based exercise along with taster ping pong and walking netball and rugby, all offered to encourage physical activity and peer interaction with people of a similar age.
Rhinos Active Social will be available from the following dates:
– Tuesday 10am-12:30pm at the Cardigan Centre. 145-149 Cardigan Road, LS6 1LJ (Starting January 9th 2018)
– Wednesday 10am-12pm at O.P.A.L Welcome In Community Centre, 55 Bedford Drive, LS16 6DJ (Starting January 10th 2018)
– Friday 10-12 at St Cyprian with St James, Coldcotes Avenue, Harehills, LS9 6ND (Starting February 23rd 2018)
RHINESTONES
The Rhinestones Dance Academy is run by qualified dance coaches at four venues. The classes are for children aged 5-16 who will learn cheer, street and break dance.
To register as an official Try Club member costs £15 which covers the cost of the members first Rhinestones T-Shirt. Other weekly fees are as follows: £3.50 per class paying weekly, £18 for 6 classes (saving £3), £36 for 12 classes (saving £6)

RHINOS TOUCH RUGBY
Rhinos Touch Rugby will return on 19th February on Monday Evenings at the John Charles Centre for Sport, kick off between 6pm and 9pm
The tournament will take 6 aside format with team able to have a maximum of 9 players in their squad. The cost per team is £30 per team and matches will be played on the Stadium pitch.
Touch Rugby is a fun and social way to keep fit so if you’re looking to get involved in a team sport, why not recruit your family, friends or work colleagues to give it a go.
