The evening, which was attended by over 80 business representatives across Leeds from Leeds Rhinos Foundation’s partners and supporters, raised nearly £1000 for the charity from ticket sales, book sales and raffle entries which will support the ongoing work in the community.
Kevin Sinfield, who appeared in 19 finals, including 7 grand final wins during a 19-year career with the Leeds Rhinos, provided a well-received presentation on leadership and motivation for the attendees at the event.
The unique business networking event was the first of two events taking place in 2016 hosted by the Leeds Rhinos Foundation and partner Irwin Mitchell Solicitors with the next event due to take place in September.
Business Development Executive for the Leeds Rhinos Foundation Ewan Metcalf said:
“The events provide a fantastic opportunity for businesses to network with over 50 partners connected to the Leeds Rhinos Foundation through the Friend of the Foundation scheme and learn more about the charity and how to get involved in supporting the work going on in the community.
“We would like to thank long term partner Irwin Mitchell Solicitors for hosting the event and all the businesses who attended to make it such a fantastic networking opportunity for all involved.”
Set up in partnership with Irwin Mitchell, the scheme aims to develop strong relationships with businesses across industries.
