Volunteers from local organisations lending their support for Children’s Day 2017

Leeds Rhinos Foundation and Yorkshire Cricket Foundation’s Free Children’s Day event this Sunday will be once again running with the help of volunteers from the community as well as Leeds Building Society, Barclays Bank and Mears this year.

Children’s Day is an annual event held by both The Yorkshire Cricket Foundation and Leeds Rhinos Foundation.

The event has been held at Headingley Carnegie Stadium since 2008 and will see thousands of families across the region attend the day-long event, which brings together a host of organisations from Yorkshire every year to provide a memorable day of activities for children.

In addition to our wonderful staff and stewards, there will be a strong team of volunteers on the day, who will be on hand helping you find your way around the ground as well as answering any question you may have.

The diverse team will be made of volunteers from Leeds Building Society, Barclays Bank and The Yorkshire Cricket Foundation’s very own Yorkies!

Both foundations would like to extend a huge thank you in advance to the team at Children’s Day and all past and present volunteers that have supported the foundations over the years. It is with the help of committed volunteers team that we can continue to provide the work we do out in the community.

Children's Day is a free event run by Leeds Rhinos Foundation and Yorkshire Cricket Foundation for the families of Leeds. As well as the Sky Try Festival there will be plenty of free activities for children to enjoy on the day. Gates open at 10am – 4pm. Join our Facebook event page by clicking here to find out more about the day.

Families attending the event can make a suggested donation of £3 per adult and £1 per child attending on entry. All proceeds will support the work of Leeds Rhinos Foundation and Yorkshire Cricket Foundation.
