Leeds Rhinos Foundation and Yorkshire Cricket Foundation are proud to announce that Nando’s will be joining thousands of young children and families at Headingley Carnegie Stadium this Sunday 16th July for the annual Children’s Day festival as associate sponsor for the event.
The free event for children and families across the region, hosted by Leeds Rhinos Foundation and Yorkshire Cricket Foundation, returns to the world-famous sports stadium for the tenth year to provide another memorable day for children.
Gareth Cook, Community Manager at Leeds Rhinos Foundation said:
“We are delighted to have Nando’s involved in our Children’s Day event. Nando’s is known to be a family friendly restaurant which really fits in with the ethos of the day, which is all about giving back to children and families with a free day out.”
As well as sponsoring the event, Nando's will have a large presence on the day with a gazebo offering a range of giveaways such as miniature rugby balls and signed Try cards along with the chance for fans to taste the famous PERi-PERi chillies with some Nando’s chicken wing tasters.
Nando’s will also be showing their support for junior rugby players and cricketers with some special prizes for players taking part in rugby and cricket tournaments on the pitches at Headingley Carnegie Stadium.
Prizes will include branded rugby balls and meals vouchers for Nando’s restaurants which will be awarded for best tries, tackles, top run scorers and wicket takers along with overall team awards for fair play.
Children’s Day is a free event held at Headingley Carnegie Stadium and run by Leeds Rhinos Foundation and Yorkshire Cricket Foundation for the families of Leeds. Gates open at 10am – 4pm.
Families attending the event can make a suggested donation of £3 per adult and £1 per child attending on entry. All proceeds will support the work of Leeds Rhinos Foundation and Yorkshire Cricket Foundation.
