Rhinos Touch Rugby league returns in February

Touch Rugby is great a fun way to stay in shape and meet new people

Fans looking to enjoy social six-a-side rugby are invited to join the new Rhinos Touch Rugby league which starts on Monday 19th February at John Charles Centre for Sport.

Touch Rugby is a great activity to keep fit, meet new people, have fun and learn new skills and this new league is open to female and male players aged 16+.

Joe Sanderson, North Leeds Rugby League Development Officer for Leeds Rhinos Foundation, who is running the league said: “Last year we brought back our popular Touch Rugby league and it was a big success.  The league is open to players of all abilities, there is no previous playing experience necessary, so if you fancy giving rugby league a go this is the perfect opportunity to get started.

“If you’re looking for an activity for you and your work friends to do or an excuse to get together with your friends or even want to compete as a family then get signed up for our new league.”

Games will take place on the stadium pitch at the John Charles Centre for sport on Monday evenings for six weeks, kick off between 6pm and 9pm.  Teams are six-a-side (with a maximum nine players in the squad) and the cost is £30 per team.

To register your team email joe.sanderson@leedsrhinosfoundation.org.  The deadline for entry is Friday 9th February.
