Rhinos Wheelchair team looking to maintain 100% record in Kent this weekend

Leeds Rhinos Wheelchair Team at the Season Launch at Morley Leisure Centre in February

Following a strong opening day performance against North Wales Crusaders, Leeds Rhinos Wheelchair team will be looking to make it back to back victories as they travel to Medway Dragons in Kent this weekend for their first away stop of the season.

The Leeds Rhinos opener at home on 2nd April against North Wales Crusaders finished with a Rhinos Victory with Leeds closing out an impressive 86-54 win with tries from Collins, Richardson and Butler.

Leeds started the game well with Ryan Richardson, Nathan Collins and Joshua Butler all scoring tries. Tom Halliwell kept the points ticking over with some sublime kicking for the extra points.

North Wales did well to keep in touch, though, and a couple of tires for Stuart Williams and Andrew Rhys Higgins kept the score to 44-24 at half time. The second half saw the Rhinos come out and open up a big lead as Richardson took his tally to eight tries for the game and both Collins and Butler doubled their exploits.

Despite a resilient come back from the Crusaders – with Higgins taking his try tally to four and both Mark and Stuart Williams getting two tries each – Leeds closed out to a 86-54 win.

After a break over Easter, the Rhinos Wheelchair team travel to Medway Dragons, who lost their opening fixture against Halifax 68-30.
