Leopards Move to New Venue

Thanks to the efforts of all involved with the club from its inception in May 2010 – especially the parents and volunteers – North Leeds Leopards have announced important news about their future.

Because of their steady and planned growth and subsequent success, which now sees them running four sides in leagues together with others participating in numerous festivals and other appearances, catering from five-year-olds to U14s, the Leopards have now instituted the next phase of their development.

The club has signed an initial 12-month agreement to move to refurbished Moortown RUFC to play and train at the newly re-named Far Moss Sports Grounds which will carry their signage and has three pitches.

“The committee are convinced, having undertaken significant assessment of our needs, that this is the right next step for the club,” said chairman Phil Caplan.

“Far Moss is becoming a multi-sport venue with various partners, a gymnasium and impressive social facilities that include the screening of rugby league. We fit in with the ethos – especially playing in the summer – and feel very much at home already.”

The Leopards plan to be playing their first matches at Far Moss on the opening weekend in May.
