On Sunday 16th July, the annual Children’s Day, which is one of the biggest free events in the city will take place at Headingley Carnegie Stadium and Leeds Rhinos Foundation and Yorkshire Cricket Foundation are pleased to announce that this year’s event will include over 25 activities for Children to take part in on the day.

With thousands of people set to attend the huge event, Children's Day is always a great opportunity to showcase your organisation and as the excitement for the big day increases over the next month, we will be announcing a new activity each day on social media building up to the event.

Take a look at the activations we released this week:

Team Activ –

Team Activ specialise in creating bespoke programmes and events to improve well-being, performance, leadership, teamwork and culture across Yorkshire, will be providing Tri Golf, Frisbee, Hoopla, Circus Skills and obstacle course activities on the day.

Adrenaline International –

Adrenaline International, are one of Europe’s largest play facilities with over 140 trampolines split into 4 zones as well as our large Lost City indoor soft play centre and will be providing trampoline fun for children on the 16th July.

Leeds Force Basketball-

Leeds Force, are one of the premier basketball clubs competing in the UK’s top league the British Basketball League (BBL) and will be providing a basketball skills station on site at Children’s Day this year.

The Works Stakepark Leeds-

The Works Skatepark charity works closely with schools, youth groups and extended services to help get children back into exercise whilst having fun through learning or improving with different non-traditional sports and are providing their portable skatepark and BMX track for children to try their hand at this July.

Rainbow Factory-

The Rainbow Factory specialises in storytelling through the creative arts, including theatre, crafts and games that inspire and delight children aged 10 and under with activities run by a talented team of performers including model-making, knight-training, treasure hunts and silly science.

The Leeds-based attraction will be on site at Children’s Day with their team providing some drama workshops, so if you’re attending make sure you stop by.

Children’s Day 2017 takes place on Sunday 16th July. The gates for the event will open at 10am and close at 4pm; admission is completely free for everyone, as are the activities when inside the ground.

Families attending the event can make a suggested donation of £3 per adult and £1 per child attending on entry, all proceeds will support the work of the Yorkshire Cricket Foundation and Leeds Rhinos Foundation.
