Get involved with Tag Rugby at the ‘Try Tag Rugby Yorkshire’ Leeds: John Smeaton league

The first week of the new league was a huge success

A new eight week Try Tag Rugby Yorkshire competition, run in partnership with Try Tag Rugby and Leeds Rhinos Foundation, is now running every Tuesday at John Smeaton Leisure Centre and new teams are welcome to enter.

The new Leeds: John Smeaton League started on Tuesday 20th September and the competition got off to a great start with many participants turning up to take part in the social league, based in East Leeds.

Tag Rugby is a minimal contact version of Rugby, generally played in the 7 a side format, and is a great way to keep fit while having fun.

Players of all sporting abilities and rugby experience levels, including complete rugby novices are all welcome and although the league is already underway there is still space for additional individual males and females to join teams.

If you are interested in joining please email yorkshire@trytagrugby.com. For more information on the Leeds: John Smeaton League please click here

If you sign up as an individual or group, you will be placed with other individuals and groups to make a team. Each team will play one 40-minute game each week and this will be followed by a weekly after match social where players will get the chance to have a drink and a bite to eat with their team mates and opposition in a local pub.

GIVE IT A TRY FOR FREE!
If you haven't played Tag Rugby before and you would like to give it a try before deciding whether to join the league that's not a problem. Please email yorkshire@trytagrugby.com to arrange a free trial game where we will be able to go through the rules and then give you a chance to play in a game.
