Girl’s RL Development Session a Resounding Success

On Saturday 22nd March at John Charles Centre for Sport Leeds Rugby Foundation hosted a development session for girls aged 10-14.

50 girls attended the session and were put through their paces developing their tackle technique, decision making and kicking skills through the morning.

There were girls who have only played rugby before at school attending but also girls from local amateur clubs. There were girls from Hunslet Hawks, Birstall Victoria, Oulton Raidettes, Stanningley, Kippax Roos, Dewsbury Celtic and Shawcross Sharks.

The Leeds Rugby Foundation's Schools and Female Participation officer, Lois Forsell said:

'It has been fantastic to see all the girls training together and developing their skills alongside one another. Their attitudes have been great and none of the girls can wait for the next session. It has been great to have the coaches involved too, so a big thanks to them.'
