On Tuesday 6th March two Headingley legends, Kevin Sinfield MBE and Ryan Sidebottom, will return to the stadium that they enjoyed many successful years at for a night of celebration and fundraising for Leeds Rhinos Foundation.
Kevin Sinfield MBE, the most successful captain in Leeds Rhinos’ history and Ryan Sidebottom who won the County Championship with Yorkshire County Cricket three times, will both support the event to raise money for Leeds Rhinos Foundation, the charity where they are both Vice Presidents.
The fundraising dinner will focus on celebrating significant memories in the history of Leeds Rugby League as well as showcasing some of the charity’s many achievements over the last twelve years.
Sinfield and Sidebottom will take part in a Q&A and will reflect on some of their own special memories from their successful careers and there will also be recognition on the evening to mark special events in the club’s history such as the famous Watersplash final, when the Leeds team triumphed over Wakefield in the Challenge Cup final which marks its 50th anniversary in 2018.
Speaking about the event Sinfield said: “I am a proud Vice President of Leeds Rhinos Foundation, and am looking forward to attending what will be a great event to raise money to fund the fantastic and important work they do to support people in the community.
“I have many wonderful memories from my time playing at Emerald Headingley and it will be nice to celebrate some of those whilst also recognising many other memorable occasions in the club’s and the charity’s history.”
The Leeds Rhinos first team will be in attendance at the formal event which will take place in the Long Bar at Emerald Headingley Stadium from 6.30pm and guests will enjoy a three course meal and a night of entertainment. Tables of ten cost £550 and single places are £60 per person. Gold packages are available on request with benefits including having a Leeds Rhinos player on your table.
