With just over 80 days until the Asda Foundation Leeds 10k, Leeds Rhinos Foundation are urging fans inspired by the London Marathon on Sunday to take on a challenge of their own by joining the Run with the Rhinos team on the 9th July.
Fresh from his London Marathon success at the weekend, Leeds Rhinos legend Kevin Sinfield MBE, who is a Vice President of Leeds Rhinos Foundation will be joining ex-team mate Barrie McDermott and Rhinos fans in the Run with the Rhinos team in 2017 to raise money and awareness for the charity.
Sinfield, who is the most successful captain in the Rhinos’ history, has been an inspiration to many during his illustrious career and now in retirement continues his legacy with the Rhinos by taking on the Leeds 10k for the second year running.
Leeds Rhinos Foundation Director of Operations Bob Bowman is urging fans inspired by the London Marathon to join Sinfield for Leeds Rhinos official charity in July.
“We are delighted to offer charity places for the Leeds 10k every year as it very much fits with our mantra of inspiring people to achieve in sport,” said Bowman.
“Having people of Kevin and Barrie’s standing in the team we hope is further incentive for runners to join us this year.”
For the lower charity price of £25, runners joining the Run with the Rhinos team will receive a technical T-shirt to wear on the day, fundraising support, team Newsletters, a group fitness session provided by L1 Performance and incentives to raise over £200 with a corporate hospitality package at a Leeds Rhinos game on offer.
