Leeds Rhinos winger Tom Briscoe will be celebrating his 100th appearance for the club against St Helens on Friday and this week urged fans and businesses to celebrate his milestone by supporting the Leeds Rhinos Foundation through their new ‘100 Club’ offer.
Briscoe, now in his fifth season with the Rhinos, will join a number of club legends by reaching a career century when he makes 100 appearances on Friday and his 100th game also coincides with the launch of Leeds Rhinos Foundation’s 100 Club, which gives fans the chance to support the club’s official charity in their mission to Change Lives Through Sport.
Established in 2005, Leeds Rhinos Foundation has grown into one of the biggest and most wide-reaching sports’ charities in the UK and now works across a range of agendas delivering positive outcomes across the city.
As a charity, Leeds Rhinos Foundation are funded through partners, local authorities and public donations which helps them to deliver life changing work in areas such as health, education, physical activity, arts and heritage.
Tom Briscoe, who has worked alongside Leeds Rhinos Foundation since joining the club in 2013, making player appearances and supporting the charity’s programmes and is a huge advocate for the work they do.
“Being from West Yorkshire I’ve always been keen to support my local community and really enjoy working alongside Leeds Rhinos Foundation who do some great work helping others to realise their potential and change lives for thousands of people in Leeds,” he said.
“The 100 Club is a great way for people to get involved in that work with a donation that goes directly into many of the community-based health, education and sport programmes that Leeds Rhinos Foundation deliver every year, so I hope lots of people get involved and keep that work going.”
100 Club membership is a one-off donation of £100 to Leeds Rhinos Foundation and members will get a certificate of membership in recognition of their donation, alongside receiving regular Leeds Rhinos Foundation updates.
