Kids receive unforgettable experience in first week of Easter Camps

Over 50 children took part in camps in week 1 at Crawshaw High School

Leeds Rhinos Foundation’s Multi-sport camps got off to a good start during the first week of the Easter Holidays with over 50 children taking part at three venues across Leeds. With more camps and players down to attend next week, it’s not too late to book your child a place!

The camps based at North Leeds Leopards, Guiseley Rangers and Crawshaw High School have been taken up in good numbers with children aged 6-12 enjoying a range of sports and fun with Leeds Rhinos Foundation coaches over both the two and four day camps.

One of the regular highlights of the camp saw the children receive visits from members of the Leeds Rhinos first team including Jimmy Keinhorst, Keith Galloway and Cameron Smith, who took part in a host of games including Onside Touch Rugby at the home of Guiseley Rangers.

Our staff took to Twitter to show some of the kids enjoying a game with the players

Also on hand this week were Rhinos stars Ashton Golding, Brad Singleton and Cory Aston who met children at Crawshaw high school, taking part in some rugby gauntlet drills, kicking rounders and a Q&A with the camp.

Take a look at the highlights video of the players in action on the camp, who also signed autographs and took pictures. Ashton Golding, who attended camps in his younger days spoke to us about why your children should come along and enjoy a Leeds Rhinos camp.

In North Leeds, campers taking part in the two day camp at Far Moss Sports Ground got to meet Joel Moon, Mitch Garbutt and Sam Hallas who helped out with the camp games and signed camp T-shirts.

In typical Ronnie the Rhino style, the club mascot has found time in his busy schedule to get around Leeds to visit the camps and got in on the team pictures with the campers at North Leeds before heading to Guiseley for his third camp visit of the week.

The campers even had time for a quick rendition of the Haka from Leeds Rhinos legend Kylie Leuluai's son Kingston and his North Leeds Leopards teammate Angus Moon, son of Rhinos star Joel.
