Leeds Rhinos Foundation (LRF) are delighted to announce the appointment of Mick Amos as Community Manager, strengthening the senior management team.
Mick comes with a wealth of experience in community cohesion, social inclusion and developing partnerships and was the National Primary Rugby League manager at the RFL working with community leagues nationally and as project lead for the SKY TRY programme.
Previously Mick served as a Police Constable for over 10 years with 5 years as a successful Police School liaison officer working with over 75 Schools and liaising with over 50 different agencies.
Through his past experiences Mick has diverted young people away from crime and antisocial behaviour and into positive pathways using the power of sport and this experience will add expertise and knowledge to the Leeds Rhinos Foundation.
Mick also owns his own business HMP NOT-4-ME a choices and consequences educational schools programme and has often appeared on Coronation Street as a Police supporting artist.
The former RFL Primary Rugby League Manager has represented West Yorkshire Police Rugby League and the GB Police Rugby League Teams along with the West Yorkshire Police and England Police Football teams.
Mick 35, will work as a key member of the Leeds Rugby Foundation (LRF) team to build relationships with Schools and over see the Partner Schools Programme.
In addition to his role as Community Manager manager Mick will also work closely with general manager of the foundation Davide Longo.
