BTEC Sports Coaching course with Leeds Rhinos Foundation and Askham Bryan College Open Day 16th May

The course will take place at Headingley Carnegie Stadium

Leeds Rhinos Foundation in partnership with Askham Bryan College are inviting young people aged 16-18 interested in a career in sports coaching to a course open night on the 16th May.

The evening which will be hosted by Course Tutor Chris Barr will take place at the TryZone Education Centre at Headingley Carnegie Stadium from 5pm to 8pm and will include a presentation on what the new BTEC Sports Coaching course has to offer.

Starting in September 2016, the course will provide an ideal qualification for anyone interested in a career in sport, with the course content meeting the demanding requirements of the sports industry and an exciting opportunity to learn and work within a world class international sports setting at Headingley Carnegie Stadium.

Students will study a range of topics that open up a huge number of potential opportunities, ranging from coaching and instructor jobs and sports coordinator roles, through to business, marketing and event management, providing the necessary skills to continue studying in Higher Education.

As a Full time level 3 BTEC course, students will also be able to benefit from a range of exciting work experience opportunities undertaken as part of the programme with opportunities to get first-hand experience of coaching in the community through links with the Leeds Rhinos Foundation.

Alongside regular tuition from course tutors, the course will also include guest lectures from industry professionals throughout the programme, who will provide first-hand knowledge and experience of working in the sports industry.

Entry Requirements:

16-18 Years of Age
4 GCSE's at grade C or above, including Maths & English
