West Leeds Junior Rugby League Club was formed in 1997 by three friends. Sam Horner, Peter Nicholson and Mick Preston, continuing the success of the previous open age side which moved to merge with another club. Based at West Leeds Sports and Social Club on Redshaw Road LS12 1HH.
Since those early days, the club has gone from strength to strength. Having grown in size considerably the club now facilitates several teams, from minis all the way to the Open Age team operating in Mini mod, Yorkshire Juniors and Pennine League. Leeds Masters also have their base at West Leeds ARLFC. The women and girls section has grown considerably, now running Girls teams at 12s 14s, 16s and a Ladies team too.
West Leeds are very much part of the Leeds Rhinos Club Ambassador Scheme and take part in many events throughout the year.
West Leeds are wanting to expand and training facilities are now a concern, we are looking for sponsors to help us raise funds to give more children a chance to play Rugby League in the Leeds 12 area.
