Leader of Leeds City Council, Councillor Judith Blake, has offered her well wishes to Leeds Rhinos Foundation as they commemorate their ten year anniversary next month.
The charity has worked closely with Leeds City Council over the last decade on a number of projects and was awarded the Best Overall Contributor in the Child Friendly Leeds awards earlier this year for their commitment to helping improve the lives of young people across the city.
To mark their anniversary Leeds Rhinos Foundation will be hosting a dinner in partnership with Leeds City Council at Leeds Town Hall on 21st October. The black tie event, which also provide a Civic welcome to the touring New Zealand team who will be in the city to take on Leeds Rhinos two days later, will include a variety of entertainment and will honour ten years of success for the charity while also aiming to raise funds that will help them continue to the city.
Commending them on ten years of success Councillor Judith Blake said: "Congratulations to the Leeds Rhinos Foundation for reaching this milestone tenth anniversary. We are proud to be part of this celebration event with a special welcome reserved for our friends and guests from New Zealand. The Leeds Rhinos Foundation plays a fantastic role in our local community, helping to improve people's lives through sport and healthy living and especially in inspiring our young people to be the best they can be. So we look forward to a great night of celebration at Leeds Town Hall and to the Leeds Rhinos Foundation's continuing success for the next 10 years and beyond."
