The Leeds Rhinos Foundation are inviting the public to take part in the first ever Christmas Tree Festival on the 2nd December by decorating a tree in the Headingley Carnegie Cafe.
The Headingley Carnegie Café based at the Stadium will provide the location for the Leeds Rhinos official charity’s Christmas Tree Festival from the 3rd to the 17th December, with the public invited to come along and decorate their tree on the 2nd December.
As part of the Christmas tree festival, small Christmas trees will line the edge of the cafe and groups, organisations and individuals are invited to pledge a donation to the Leeds Rhinos Foundation in exchange for the opportunity to decorate a tree.
Trees can be dressed either to a Christmas theme or to reflect their organisation is a great opportunity for those who decorate to publicise to the community their activities and achievements, have fun and give back over the Christmas Season and an ideal way for families, schools and clubs across the city to take part in the festive period while making a valuable donation to the Leeds Rhinos Foundation.
The display which will be open for a two week period for guests and visitors to the stadium, will be available for the public to visit and admire throughout the Christmas Period. The Carnegie Café closing time varies and it may be advisable to check opening hours before you visit.
Over the two week period of the Christmas Tree Festival, The Leeds Rhinos Foundation will tweet images of the trees to our followers, the ‘best dressed’ tree will be eligible for a Leeds Rhinos prize!
The Christmas Tree Festival will also be featured on our website and in the Yorkshire Evening Post and is a festive way for Leeds Rhinos Foundation partners and friends to demonstrate their relationship with the charity to the people of Leeds. Everyone involved in decorating a tree will receive a photo of their tree and a thank you note from Leeds Rhinos Foundation.
