The Leeds Rhinos Foundation and Leeds Rhinos first team star Paul Aiton visited Farnley Falcons for a relaunch event at the Falcons new headquarters at the Buelah Pub last Saturday following the close of the previous premises.
The amateur club who welcomed Leeds Rhinos Foundation Community Club Development officer Sam Horner along with Papua New Guinean international Paul Aiton to the event, have been established nearly 10 years and play an integral part in the development of junior rugby in the West of the city.
Last season saw the Farnley based club re-launch their junior section, which now offers teams at under 7's, 9's, 11's as well as an open age side, as the club now looks to move forward in their new surroundings at the Beulah pub.
Adam Harrison started the club a decade ago and since then Steven Vettorl, Tom Staniland and Jonny Adams have a played a big part in the development of the club's junior section which is continuing to grow.
Paul Aiton attended the hugely successful event last Saturday and the Rhinos Hooker took time to speak with the players, parents and club members whilst stopping on to take photos and sign autographs with the Challenge Cup and Ronnie the Rhino, who was also present at the event.
Members of Farnley Falcons and Sam Horner, who works closely with the club to support the developmental in their development, thank Paul for taking the time out to attend the event and contributing to the success of the evening.
Farnley Falcons are very much part of the huge increase in participation of Rugby League in the West of the City and a member of the Leeds Rhinos Club Ambassador Scheme and the Leeds Rhinos Foundation wish the club well going forward in their new facilities.
