The Leeds Rhinos Foundation are this year featuring a Community Club of the week following the weekend home fixtures and this week’s club in the spotlight is one of our community clubs Driglington ARLFC.
The clubs under 10’s junior team were the visitors to Headingley Carnegie Stadium for the Leeds Rhinos opening home Super League fixture against the Widnes Vikings last week as one of the Half Time teams and will also be providing teams for the Warrington fixture in April.
Drighlington ARLFC was established in 1973 and operates as a community rugby club. They are a progressive family friendly club who run teams from under 7 to two open age sides. They are based in the heart of Drighlington, ideally situated between Leeds and Bradford off Junction 27 M62.
They are affiliated with the RFL and are one of Leeds Rhinos Foundation Ambassador clubs, serving to develop the game, their club and junior members. They always welcome new members and are passionate about providing an outlet for the community to take part in and watch an exciting game.
The club are currently looking to move premises to enable the club to continue to grow and provide an outstanding environment for the whole community.
