Leeds Rhinos Foundation Celebrates Annual Aspire CBS Tag Rugby Festival

Last week, the much-anticipated Aspire CBS Tag Rugby Festival returned to AMT Headingley Stadium, bringing together over 100 customers, volunteers, and supporters.

This event, a standout occasion, is organised and hosted by the Leeds Rhinos Foundation.

The festival is held in collaboration with Aspire CBS, a remarkable staff-owned, non-profit social enterprise with charitable status, dedicated to providing crucial care and support services for adults with learning disabilities.

Its mission is to foster inclusion and promote physical activity for individuals with learning disabilities, creating a space for them to participate in sports, boost their confidence, and experience a sense of belonging.

Leeds Rhinos Foundation’ partner, Chadwick Lawrence, played a key role in the event’s success, sponsoring the event with many of their staff volunteering to join in the festivities. Their involvement highlights the deep community connections and the dedication of local businesses to champion such impactful initiatives.

To make the event even more special, participants had the chance to meet Leeds Rhinos first-team players, Alfie Edgell and Riley Lumb, along with the beloved Ronnie the Rhino!

In the end, the return of the Aspire Tag Rugby Festival to AMT Headingley Stadium was a huge success, highlighting the ability of sport to unite people and make a lasting, positive difference in the community.
