What made you join the PDRL team?
After sustaining a life changing disability I heard about Leeds rhinos PDRL. I got in touch with club and started training and playing. I’m a life long Leeds rhinos fan so it was a no brainer .
How has playing for the PDRL team changed your life?
It gave me a sense of purpose again after getting told by hospital specialists that I would never play again. I made new friends and developed into a better rugby player through the confidence that my other team mates gave me.
What is your favourite thing about playing for the PDRL team?
Pulling on that Rhinos jersey, something that dreams are made of. Togetherness of our team to believe in each other and to show everyone that you can still be a tough skillful rugby player regardless of having a disability.
What is your most memorable moment whilst playing for the PDRL team?
Lots to mention. I think it has to be winning the grand final last year. The other memorable moments are getting voted players player of the season in 2021 and representing Yorkshire PDRL team in 2021. Not to forget playing for England Twice in the world cup last year against Wales and New Zealand, Landing my first ever conversation against New Zealand.
