JOB TITLE

Disability Officer

JOB ROLE

I lead and manage our inclusive sports programmes, including the sessions delivered through our partnerships with leading social charities Community Integrated Care and Aspire, plus oversee the running of our Disability Rugby League teams- who compete in the PDRL and LDSL competitions.

SPORTING BACKGROUND

I consider myself being a jack of all trades master of none. Having previously participated in many sports such as football, cricket, and rugby (union), I finally settled on American Football whilst studying my degree in Physical Education and Youth Sports. Playing defensive line and channelling my inner Aaron Donald. It wasn’t until I began working on my master’s degree until I realised that rugby league was in fact better than union. This led me to begin working with the disability teams at York Knights before joining the Leeds Rhinos Foundation.

SPORTING ROLE MODEL

Dean Smith, because I’m a Norwich City fan and he’s single-handedly going to keep us in the Premier League.

BEST SPORTING MOMENT

One of Norwich City’s seven thousand promotions to the Premier League (which are usually followed immediately next season by relegation again!)
