What position do you play?

Winger

How long have you played for the PDRL team?

I joined the team in 2019

What made you join the PDRL team?

I was good friends with Scott Gobin before either of us joined the team, he joined before me and recommended it.

How has playing for the PDRL team changed your life?

It’s given me a sense of purpose and drive that I didn’t have before. I’ve dropped five stone in weight, became the first blind player to kick a conversion in rugby league, was part of the first Leeds PDRL team to win the grand final in 2022, ran my first marathon in 2023, and outside of sport, I was awarded a full scholarship to do my PhD at the University of Bradford which wouldn’t have happened if I wasn’t part of the team. It’s also allowed me to take part in fundraising events for the Rhinos foundation and other charities associated with the club which is something I love doing and will continue to do even when I finish playing.

What is your favourite thing about playing for the PDRL team?

The lads we have at Leeds are class, we work hard for each other and have developed a tight bond.

What is your most memorable moment whilst playing for the PDRL team?

Beating Wakefield PDRL in golden point extra time in 2022 to become the first Rhinos PDRL team to win a grand final.
