Under the initiative, children receive a tour of the Headingley facilities including exclusive behind the scenes access. Students learn from members of the Leeds Rhinos Foundation team through a series of interactive activities designed to excite and engage students from Key Stage 2.
The Primary School stadium tour has been designed to be fun and educational and to provide students with a trip to remember. Children will have the chance to step into the players' footsteps with a tour of the pre-match facilities and the dressing room before emerging from the tunnel and into a team song, led by Ronnie the Rhino.
There is also the chance for the children to experience what it is like for Rhinos Head Coach Brian McDermott to face the media at the end of a game, when they visit the post-match press conference room and take questions from the 'press'.
The tour will not only provide a fun experience but aims to build on the link between sport and education, including the key elements of respect, attendance, teamwork, discipline and confidence.
The tour lasts for approximately two and a half hours and is priced at £100 for up to 30 children.
